WEnt to uni today.. it was so WEIRD goign to ic level zero when it's like.. almost empty~~ Anyway.. sold my physics160 and chemistry 120 txtbooks for $50 each.. which isn't too bad. BUt they woudlnt' buy my chemmat and microbiology txtbooks till end of the year.. but..but..but.. oh well.. i guess those 2 txtbooks will be sitting in my locker for a few more months.

Oh yea.. didnt' end up going to ramen today coz it wasn't that cold.. tho i did had a nice nice fresh fruit crepe with lots and lots of caramel sauce ^_________^ argh~~ i love crepes...

*blinks* can't believe how fast my schedule in the holidays is filling up. ^^:
today: going shopping with mum and emily~~ finally~~ it's about time i get new winter clothes ^^:
Wednesday: goign to uni and sort out txtbooks and get exam scripts etc etc... also have been dreaming about that ramen for few weeks ^_______^ yum~~

Thursday: Currently free, was goign to watch mr. and mrs. smith at night with emily etc but yea.. it's cancelled... tho hopeing i can drag xtine out on thurs ;)

Friday: morning got appointment with GP at 9 (just realized that means i have to wake up early ^^:) yea... it's prob nothing.. just me being paranoid as usual ^^: oh and night going dining at parnell ^_____^ yummy steak. here i come!! (oh yea.. that prob means i can't just wear jeans huh~~ *gasp*)

Saturday: work.. as usual ^^:

Sunday-Wednesday suppose to go to a family trip to Bay of Island, and sicne the date and number of days is undecided.. i am obligated to keep those days free until then ^^:

Thursday: goign to see "bye bye birdie" with Alex... Maclean's College school production.. heheheh

Everythign else is currently free atm i guess... ^^: tho i was suplpose to have 2 sleepovers next week.. guess that's not gonna happen.. oh well~~ *shrug* come to think about it... 4 weeks of holidays is DEFINATELY not enough *nod nod*

starring at my bio grade.... i know i shdu be extremely happy with it since i know how low my internals are... i know i shud be more that greatful that i didn't fail that stupid paper.. still doesnt' take away the sinking feeling that my gpa is dropping~~ :( and i am sure i did worse in mm1 and chemmat~~ oh well

Anyway~~ officially finished disc 2 of ff9 ^^ i love the little vivi~~ so cute ^_____^ love that game ^_^ have to thank slowpoke for dling + burning it for me ^____^ yay~~~

work finish work at a all time record (yet again) at an early early time of 4:05, i.e. i've worked for a total of 7 + 1/4 (paid) hours, woo hoo~ So weird... first time workign without my supervisor around.. and i have to say.. it's kind of nice... ok.. not much of a difference really~ was streakign today.. haven't streaked for a few weeks.... So happy they put up the envrionment samples early on thursday so i coudl start streaking at 9am ^____^ (normlaly i can' t start till at least 11) so yea... finish streaking at.. 3:30? and by then ppl finish putting up samples as well.. so yea.. ^___^ heheh happy~~ i guess the only down side is that i get less pay i guess ^^: oh well~~

Oh yea.. didn't blog about this but my workmate's brother passed away er... 2 weeks ago? she's like.. only 26, and it's her younger brother... so young :S and apparently the doctors didn't know how it happen.... aparently he was sick for about 2 weeks, and got better, then he went to hospital for fever and headache, and like 3 days later he passed away :( they thought it was meningitus so they ran a blood test and found it wasn't anythign viral infection... so yea... isn't it scary.. he died so suddenly and.. his family can't even find out the cause of death :S Life is weird huh~ =S

ANyway.. it's holidays ^^ officially so i wish everyone have a ncie nice relaxing holiday ^___^

Hi~~~ i am on HOLIDAY!!! YAY!!! hm.. havne't blogged for a few days where should i start....

EXAMS SUCKS!! yea... i'll start there :P honestly!! these 3 exams were... hm... not fun to sit at all! ^^; i mean.. for once i am actually not confident about actually passing.. so yea.. not looking forward to my grades AT ALL!! and i KNOW for a fact that my gpa is going DOWN!!! hahahaha

hm... i dotn' knwo.. been doign a bit of thinking about how i am handling uni and stuff... i mean.. i am only taking 3 papers this sem and i am finding it hard to cope with.. personally i dotn' think i'll survive year 3 sem 1 when i have to take 3 stage 3 papers + 1 stage 4 *dies* i talk to my mum about quitting my job next year.. and she really really wanted me to keep it, i mean.. it's always easier to find a job when you are actually employed?? dont' know how that work.. but ANYWAY.. i'll see... but think i'll start lookign for a new job in the summer again.... really really don't like this job AT ALL!

On a good note it's the HOLIDAYS ^___^ dad saw a notice about a nutrition course thingy on tue at howick rec.. mite go to that... 2 hours, guess i shud.. broaden my..er... knowledge on food a bit

OH YEA!!! somethign random.. was talkign to my supervisor yesterday during break... ok.. everyone knows there's potato chips, and there's kumera chips rite?? but you know what she eats?? taro chips =o i mean.. that's such a good idea.. why didn't i ever thought of that~~~ i MUST try that sometimes ^_____^ can't wait.... oh yea.. and accordign to her taro is purple coz of starch... not sure how it works... i thought it would only occur if there's iodine present.. hm...

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! after all the trouble i went through (with many many helps from others), what did i find out??? rhos is the gene codes for the sigma factor *roll eyes* really shud've guessed -____- and BTW in that journal it's not even call rhoS, it's called rpoS... yes !!! P ppl!!! actually... wonder if the lectuers think it's rho and will give me marks off if i write rpoS...grrrrrr.

For the benefits of pppl doing 204, er... basically.. when bac sense starvation, sigmal factor (protein) is sythesised from the rpoS gene, and sigmal binds to RNA polymerase, i.e. gives it indication of which promotor to binds to start synthesis of pex gene.... think that's it in a nutshell..... if anyone knows they whatever i said up there isn't right.. plz plz plz let me know ^^: and btw... sigmal factor can be an enzyme/protein/piece of RNA... not sure... either way it binds to RNA polymerase.

a) prestcott is not our prescribed txt book so NO ONE have a copy of it.
b) so if i want to find out the ans, i have to go and take 1HOUR BUS to uni and get a copy from library and then takt 1 HOUR BUS home!!! that is 3+hours effort just to find out one little thing.. oh why can't she just tell me!!!
It's not my fault if the prescribed txtbook is useless :'( if anyone get the thign on starvation thing.. can you plz plz tell me? *annoyed*

hahahhaha stupid me stupid me!!! hahahha was removing nail polish... and tipped over the bottle without relizing the lid wasnt' closed properly.. and i tipped it over WHILE i was indulging myself with the really touchign episodes of chouji fight.. and as i was grabbing my flashcards for some revision. i noticed a... very.... blue... water mark on the flashcards....... and yea.. so about 1/4 of my notes got..er... a sections with..er.. dissolved words.. and blue ink water marks... *sigh* took me a good hour to fix it up.

interesting notes.. my GREEN pen turn yellow after dissolve, normal blue pen turns light blue, and purple turned silver :P

feell really stupid... didn't really get how the bacteria respond to starvation, the gene expression part... so spend heaps of time finding that journal on our reference, and then waht did it told me? "sorry you are not authorised to view this page" -________- and look on the side it said.. "pay $20 per article" -_________- so yea... ended up emailling the lectuerer... so much time wasted :S feel bad!

Anhway... have guest stayign at our hosue atm.. for 3 weeks too :( i mean.. i dont' midn having guest etc.. but it's just such a bad timing :S oh well~~~
