Yes yes time for another update i guess... first week of 3 labs in a row... hm... so not used to it... like... tuesday night was doign chem prelab, wednesday night did foodsci prelab (really badly i might add, after my lab on thursday i kinda realized i kinda went off in a tangent and it's too late to change it now.. oh well~ ), by thursday night i was really sick of all this and did absolutely no work till about 10pm ^^: and made what seems like a useless attempt in my foodsci lab report.. well completely screwed up one of my graph so had to ask the lab lecturer after foodsci on friday. Friday~~ no lab but went to uni early to get the chem txtbook out to try and figure out how to do the chem lab report and BTW it's COMPLETELY USELSS! yup yup.. complete waste of time... so i am just gonna guess it.. you know what~ i dotn' knwo how they expect us to know the ans *sigh*~~

BUT my point of that er.... paragraph above that sem 2 is indeed goign to be a busy sem for me... week 1 was good.. i stayed on top of my lab report (prob coz i only had 1 lab that week) and finished most of foodsci lab in 1 night..... but this week.. took me 3 days to finish that stupid reprot... oh yea... on top of that i have an assingment due in 1 week... EEEK and you know what... its' like i dont' have time to meet up with my gfs this sem :'( haven't seen len for like since the holidays... this sucks!

On the lighter side of things... 4 months tmr.. time flies huh ^____^

Had my first biochem lab today with the talented and hyperactive sherry ^^ heheh miss being her lab partner... hm... the lab was exactly how one coudl expect from a biochem lab.. lots of dilution series.. lots of measuring of absorbance etc etc. one thign i foudn interesting today was how they didn't give us any paper towels, only tissues.. so it was kinda.. weird cleanign up the benches with tissues :P tho.. for once i coudl honestly say.. there is sufficient number of demonstrators in that lab... never before when i thought of a quesiton that i needed to ask, and as soon as i stikc my hand up, a demonstrator is there ready to ans my questions.. *wow*~ *impressed* a huge HUGE difference from the bio204 labs. THOUGH some of the ans they tell us was a bit... hm...... let's see... we didnt' knwo how to work out the log[In]/[ HIn] from the percentaage of ionisation so when we asked, the demonstrator showed us his book which had an equation on it.... and when we ask how he got the equations from he replied " i don't know.. somethign to do with pka ^^: even worse when we ask the lec shaun lott about how come one structure is more acidic than the other... he pointed to the bromine and said.. that changed the properties of the benzene and makes it more acidic.. and if you ask further about why that is so.. he'll tell you he has no idea :P heheheh oh well~~ tiem to dig up chem110 notes... pretty sure it's to do with elctronegativity tho.

hm... what else... oh yea.... chem lab tmr and foodsci lab on thur and apparently we are gonna get a foodsci assignmetn on friday ^^: and we have 2 weeks to do it -____- omg~ gonna die under a pile of lab reports and assignemtn... oh well~ will live... somehow :P

just finished harry potter and the half blooded prince.... and was very shocked by the ending... but since i realize ppl reads this blog mite not have read it yet.. i will not talk about it further... except to say that the ending was very VERY tragic... *sniff* emily was using my comptuer to burn cds at the time and i keep telling her to shoosh coz i codltn' believe what i was reading... anyhway.. sry sis for er...partially yelling :P

ANYWAY~~ 2nd day of uni ended what do i think of my courses so far.. hm...
chem230: course coordinator seems like a horrible person... keep demanding ppl to shut up by hitting the desk really hard..... the lecturer so far isn't too bad, tho he does teaches extremely fast.. think he went over like.. 10 pages of lec notes.. and non of us were able to finish copying it.. oh well~

bio203: er..... the lectueres accent is very hard to pick out.. and so far i am very very very confused on what he's teaching... *shrug* oh well~~ note to self.. shdu start writing notes soon.

foodsci201: WE GET A FIELD TRIP ^^ apart from that... er... had a lec on sucrose today.. it was reasonably interesting... the material i meant.. but the way the lectuere talks and teaches is just. @#$%#@$ ok... she's the ONLY lec so far that refuses to put lec notes on cecil.. not only that she compeltely skipped one of the slides and told us that we can find it out in this book (which is not a perscribed txt) ^^: grrrrrrr oh nvm~ hopefiully that slide isn't hta impt... :P

AFter that went to xtine's house and visit her nice fancy apartment ^____^ I WANT TO LIVE IN ONE OF THOSE APARTMENTS!! hehhe must be relaly expensive tho... 4 stories :P

THen we had a girls' nite out pigging out mussels at De FOuntein.. heheh the mussels where soooo nice~~ and the fries with aoli sauce too.. yum yum... i love the platter ones with melted cheese on top ;) heheh and if that wans't fattening enough.. we went to a cafe at mt. eden called 'fraser's to have dessert ^___^ was quite funny seeing marcy and xtine etc goign on a sugar high :P but honestly~~ one of these days i hsud just go there for the dessert. ^^ yummy~~~ OOO new thign i learnt today.. banofee cake is a banana cheese cake with coffe and toffee base.. it's sooooo yummy ^^ thansk to marcy for enlighten me with a nice dessert i've never tried before ^^

Anwyay... today was sooooo much fun ^^ heheheh love my holidays ^__^

just realized i didn't do ANY update about the waiheke trip.. and realizing the digital camera is now in an unknown place in the house, i must resort to updating about it later... :P lol.. ok fine i am lazy okay~ and the fotos aren't that good coz of the weather anyway` :P

Soooo Waiheke trip was interesitng.. coz i just went there with my friends earlier this year.. so in a way it feels like retracing my footsteps a bit. OH yea~~ we ended up goign to Waiheke coz the weather forcast for monday was really crap.. so we decided to just go on a 1 day trip to Waiheke coz dad's friend (for tour ppl, it's charlie's dad) organised a trip to visit the stony batter... ok.. and note when parents was tellign us this they said 'it's designed for 'younger' ppl so you guys wont' feel out of place'.. *cough cough* so the plan was.. we go there by ourself coz we want to ferry our car over.. while they wanted to rent a car on the island... and we meet them at the ferry terminal and go to stony batter together. So when we did see them... *cough* i was certian that emily and i were the only ppl under 25 there ^^: in another words we had 'fun' in dark tunnels with ..er.. the parents generation ^^:

OK~ stony batter was acutally quite fun~ there's somethign about walking in a completey dark tunnel with just torches that's..er.. thrilling?? i dont' know... half way out of no where i started thinking about like.. scary movies and got really scared.. lol... but that was worth going~ i mean.. be better if we didn't have to follow a bunch of ppl ^^: ok i know i really shudn't be complaining~ but i really dont' like socialising with those ppl~ yes i know i am antisocial~ =P

After that they were palnning to go on an 2 hr tramp.. but being antisocial and dressed unappropriately for a tramp we requested to go off by ourself and just drive around to enjoy the view... we had lunch at an extremely expensive restaurant ^^: the food is quite nice tho~~ hehehe didn't do much after that.. just caught the 3:30 ferry back to auckland. ^^

personal note: been thinking that i get affected by the environment too easily.. must learn to step back and i guess see the bright side of things.... *sigh* life is an everlasting journey to learn.. and i have lots of learn to be more mature.~~

OMG~~~ i really shdu update more often.. ^^: last time i update was what.. sunday?? well it's been a busy week.. where shud i start... hm...

MONDAY: Went to city and had RAMEN!!! yum yum ^__^ had the usual tonkatsu which for ppl who don't knwo what it is.. it's ramen in a creamy pork soup ^______^ YUMMY~~~ after that we visted xtine at work for a brief sec, then take the bus to new market and 'shopped' by which i meant being 'stunned' and 'amazed' by some of the price tags ^^:

TUESDAY: did nothing much.. well.. played ff9 for pretty much the whole day ^___^

WEDNESDAY: nothign much again... except in the afternoon i went and got my eyes checked for a perscribed saftey glasses.. heheh when i went in.. the lady pointed to a super think plastic framed glasses and said : so these are the ones you are after right?" and i was like.. OMG! i am NEVER gonna wear those.. but after my eye examination.. i reazlied i have CHOICES ^^ so ended up chooseing one with metal frame... the frame is a lot smaller than any of my other safety glasses.. but yea.. still huge... oh well~~ guess they are not made to look good anyway.

at night went for a sleepover at tina's ^_____^ sleepovers are always fun, lots of ps2-ing... lots of tv-ing and most importantly lots of catchign up ^____^ i LOVE sleepovers~ btw did you know that pizza haven closed down? lol.. were gonna have pizza for dinner but ended up haveing chiense takeaways :P

THURSDAY: slept most of the monring and afternoon coz of lack of sleep from teh sleepover.. at night went to macleans and watched 'bye bye birdie' with alex.. and GUESS WHO I SAW~~ ^^: alan keegan.. omg~~ it's like EVERYTIME i returned to macleans for like. concerts etc.. i ALWAYS see him there... oh well~~ the show was not bad~ tho the actresses screamed REALLY loud and i was sitting really close to the aisle.. yea.. was deaf for a while ^___^ but it was so nice to see alex after... 7 months??

FRIDAY: went to manukau city shopping center with danny coz he's getting his car serviced... hehehehe was interesting.. never.. shopped with a guy before :P and i didn't know guys's jeans come in like.. boot cuts etc eetc :P lol... anyway.. certain person is exhausted by the end of the day.. muwahahahahahaha

SATURDAY: worked as usual.. after work when and met up with the old macleans mansfield asian group ^___^ nice catch up session... hehehe introduced danny to the ppl who went today.. after dinner we went to "kathy's house" and played cards + mah jon (ok can't spell) well. danny was teachign me how to play.. think i kinda get it.. but i must say... the madagascar movie that was played at the same time was sooooooo tempting ^_____^ GO PENGUINS~

anywya.. yes i knwo it's a very short summary, but i've been dying to play ff9 so too bad =P bye~` *waves*

Mum woke us up this morning ( i was sleepign in emily's room last night) and asked us if we wanted to go to flee market. We both lie there in confusion~ but what about the family trip??? so apparently since the weather is gonna be crap on monday and tuesday.. it's postponed to next week -_____________- uh huh~~ i deliberately planned a lot of things next week coz i have to leave this week free.. oh nvm~~~ @#%$#@%$#@

Oh yea.. work was so good yesterday... since my supervisor is still on her annual leave.. the head of listeria came in to help out.. and so the supervisor of salmonella helped out a lot yesterday too (prob coz normally she just muck about.. ^^: ) ANYWAY~ apparently my supervisor isn't coming back.. she got a job at Tegals.. uh huh~ judging from some of the conversations among full time workers.. no one likes their jobs there.... see... my job sucks. THOUGH~~ the company is gonna buy me a pair of perscribed safety glasses. but it's the 'property of the company' so i can't keep it if i leave the job anyway... oh well~~ hehehe at least that means i can use it for chem labs next sem :D oh yea... i have 4 weeks to visit a OPSM and get it sorted... btw.. where is the closest OPSM around?? anyone know?

Last night went to mike's house for his sleepover.. but of course i didn't sleepover coz stupid dad told me to leave sunday free -___- but it was fun~~ hehhehe had dinner at pennisula and had the nice pork with cream sauce ^_______^ yum~~~ then we went back to his house, and had fun "singing" on singstar... tho we didn't know most of the songs in there so we just "ooo" and "ahhh" the whole way through just so score point.. tho i must say mike has a very deep stable voice and was able to get lots of point... hehehehe

Think we watched the rugby after that... hehehe honeslty haven't watched it for a few years.. but the game is entertaining ^__^ yay we won~ during the game... mindy straightened my hair with her "magical" straightener which is apparently the best one out there, she also 'styled' jack's hair.. hehhee making some..er.. creative 'twists' and 'turns' at unexpected places.. During that time Jeff and Penny and her bf also arrives.. haven't seen Penny for a few years too.. tho dont' think she changed much.. but it's good to see her ^___^

Oh yea.. played eye toy for the first time.. hehehe it's not bad. Though the eye toy game jeff and penny were so enthusisasticly talking about sounds really fun~~ hm... *looking at my budget* maybe i can invest in one if i feel like it.. tho maybe it's wont' be compatible with the plasma screen like the g-cons.. hm... shud check on that. Anyway.. i left at close to 12.... really really wished i coudl've stayed over tho :( woudl've been fun. big THANKS to mike for hosting ;)
