Update! Finally

Ive always hear ppl who are working full time that there isnt really any time during weekdays to do anything.  I have to definitely agree.  I feel like the past 2 weeks just flew by, without much time to relax at all.  Granted I was sick through most of last week.

My job is great! Learning how to make lots of things everyday, like today, Ive made more alcoholic drink with really refreshing new flavour combinations, learnt how to make batters for fries and chicken, and fry them.  I was really amazed at how crispy the crust is! Amazing how research can significantly improve the taste of food.  And well.. learned how to send out flavouring samples which admittedly isnt that interesting at all.  EXCEPT I am somehow addicted to the type writer ^^; its so old school and everyone is hating it.  In fact they are going to replace it with an electronic label printer sometimes soon but for now~ thatll be my little toy.

Went to a company dinner on Tuesday night at Euro at the Viaduct.  Man, we are talking about fine fine dining!!! The prizes are really much above anything I would normally be able/willing to afford, but the food is divine!!!! And I will stop here for now because its Friday and we have Friday afternoon drinks.  Will add on later~

YAY!!!

I've got a job offer~~~ ^_____^ and out of all the jobs I've applied for this is the one I really wanted. Well.. it's a little different to the sort of job I wanted to get, that is working for actual food manufacturers, but after a few interviews, I came to the realization that a lot of the pd jobs comes attached with a lot of process improvement projects..which I am not overly excited about.

I'll be workign for a food ingredients distribution company. They provide technical support to their clients, which would be my role. So i'll get a variety of projects, granted they wont' all be pd projects, some maybe as simple as fitting suitable ingredients into their existing formulations. But it's good in that way since I'll get to work with a huge variety of food, and plus given the small company structure, it'll mean I'll get to get involved with more aspects of the industry.

I am so excited about my new job.. well.. excited and nervous. But I am officially sick of being a bum, so it's definately good news for me that i'll end my 'professionally bumming days' ^_____^
