Had another fight with Emily today.... and i come up with the conclusiong that "I AM A SPOILT CHILD WHO TAKES TOO MANY THINGS FOR GRANTED" yes.. i am.. really. i mean it. Sometimes i think about how much my mum does for me, and how i just take it for granted. Like say for example, on a rainy day, my mum almost always picks me up afterschool, even if it means cutting her meeting with her friends short, and what do in return??? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! sure, i love me mum so much, sometimes i think i dependent too much on her. relying she to be there when i am upset, like a 3 year old child or something....... oh well~~~ i'll just have learn how to grow up.
Anyway, here are some facts i learnt at a HSM seminar on the devolopemnt of the brain relation to music learning
fact! FaCt!! FACT!!!
Apparently, the emotions we sense when we hear music is the result of increase in adrenaline, a natural reaction from the time of our ancestors to analyse any sounds to detect the presence of any predator. Therefore, when we hear music, our body is constantly analysing it, making sure we are warned if any of those sounds is related to danger.
Apparently, listening to music from early childhood stimulates part of the brain, making the child smarter. Also, frequently sight-reading progressively harder music also makes ur brain develop faster.
