ANNOUCEMENT!!! I GOT A NEW MOBILE NUMBER!!!
it's 021550996, i should notify everyone by tomorrow night, but just in case if u haven't got a msg from me after tomorrow.. remember to add in my new number ;)

Ok.. time to update my trip to wellington ^_______^ u know~~ it was acutlaly a really ncie trip, haven't had such nice family trip for ages.. I mean.. last time we traveled was.... end of 2003 when parents drove me all the way to palmerston north to check out massey university, but that doesnt' really count as a family trip coz emily wasn't there, and the trip was plain educational. Anyway.. i really enjoyed it, and i think parents did too, so much that they alreayd planned to have another trip in april holidays AND one in july holidays -______-

Day 1
Nothing happene much... just a lot of driving, we left at around 2:30pm (have to wait for emily to get home form work) and we just drove ALL the way down south, we had dinner at Taupo, and eventually arrive at Bull's town, by then it was like.. 9:30, and there was like only 2 really crappy looking motels, seeing how goign to wellington will take another 2 hrs and 30mins.. we decided to stay there even tho it looks really crap. Oh well~~

Emily and I at this... Huka fall on the way to Wellington

Me at Desert road, the mountain behind is Ruapehu (excuse my spelling)

It was getting dark, and we are still driving forward in the deserted desert road ^^

Day 2
Woke up early, like at 7 or something so that we can arrive at Wellington nice and early for our big day ahead. Arrive at Te Papa just before 10am when it opens ^___^

Emily, Mum and Me outside TePapa

Emily and I outside the entrance of Tepapa :P

We went to both of the 'show' thing.. argh.. can' tremember what it's call, one is combined maori myths with geology which was not bad. i mean looking from entertainment values it's no where close as the ones in disneyland or universal studio, but in terms of informing ppl of the maori culture and the nz landscape, i think it's done quite well. The 2nd one is like.. going to the future thing.. i really liked the green screen thign, like we were standing infront of the green screen, and our image appears on the computer screen, and it's interactive and stuff. heheheh gosh that was fun. ^____^

Very pretty design, each of the statue on it represent a Maori god or Maori legend

Second stop was to Parliment house! we went just in time for a tour inside the Parliament house too, Ok.. i am really not into politics.. but it was interesting, the buildign looks nice~~ one thing i did notice is how much earthquakes affects buildign in Wellington, like, the major consideration for their major buildings is to be able to withstand earthquake, somethign we dont' really think about as Aucklanders unlike Wellintonians.

Beehive looks a lot smaller than i expected. hehehe looks huge on tv tho

Mum and I, the buidling on the left is the Parliament house, and the pink on the right is the National library.

After that we took the Cable car (which is really pathetic.. i mean.. ithought it was going around the whole city, but it was just like.. 4 stops.. in 1 straight line.. lol) to the Botanic Garden, ok... honestly.. i am not into plants.. and i htink the ones in Auckland looks pretty much the same. :P

Mum and Dad enjoying their day at the botanic garden

And that concludes our stay at Wellington, we drove all the way to... some town close to Levin and stayed the night at a very nice motel called Sand Castle, it's really nice, and it was only like 2 mins walk to the beach. ^^

This is cute... dad helping little kids to pump air into their bikes. ^____^

Dad and I at the beach right next to the hotel in the morning, hehehe dad is foto shy like me so i had to 'drag' him to be in this foto :P

Mum's catch of the day.. hehehe she said the piece of wood (the one on the left) looks really pretty and looks like a fish :P

Day 3
Drove all the way to Rotorua and stayed the night there, and we stopped at very random places on the way.

Windmill at xxx town.. (ok!! i admit it! i am really bad with names :P heheh if i can be bothered, i'll find out the names and republish this post)

Mum and Emily again, at the Cherry Island Cafe (which unfortunately closed down)

Day 4
went all the way back to Auckland, and stoped, again at random places, mostly places with nice scenery.

Went to see the National Trout park, see all these trouts, they are just waiting there, resting and preparing to swim upstream ^^

Mum having fun on the swing, this place is right next to the 'blue lake' in Rotorua

Emily and I playing on that thing.. hehe, ok.. u can't really see emily in that foto :P

Me at the 'blue spring' ok.. u can't really see form the foto, but the spring had a really nice blue colour, and the algae growing in the river looks really pretty~~

Ok... and that concludes our trip.. we arrive back in auckland just after 6pm. HEhehe ok.. i know this is a really brief updates, but i dont' want to make it too long for ppl who has slow internet connections. ^^
