First day at uni... was kinda of stressful, i dont' know... dont' like today.. ok.. mostly becoz dad yelled at me at dinner today -____- ok... at dinner, i told mum today how most ppl taking my scigen201 paper are biotech ppl, and how apparenlty they only accept 25 ppl per year (that is hard out!!!) and then dad start going on about that's y ppl graduate with biotech degree will get better jobs and blah blah blah blah~~ and by the end he was pretty much saying how 'stupid' i was to choose food science when i am capable of choosing many 'better' options, and how one day i am gonna graduate with very little salary and blah blah blah~~ got slightly depressed after that.... mum told me her friend's daughter who got a master degree in food sci is only getting like $30000 anuualy whereas her other friend's son who got a honours in biomed is applying for a job that's lke $80000... but then that 2nd person is freaky ( i remember he got like.. 1st in 4 subjects out of 5 in his 6th form year or something) so he is an exception i am sure~~ honestly~~` i doubt ppl can get that high of a starting salary. and BESIDES, the measure of a career is not by how much u can earn rite??? isn't doign somethign u like more impt than anythign else???? oh yea~~ and dad always was sayign how i think i'll be able to get all these cool jobs to do with food, but in reality i prob wont' be able to get those jobs... -_____- i am annoyed!! i am really annoyed!! y is he telling me all these now?!?!?!?! i've made my choice! and he was there when i made my choice!! ARGH~~~ *lucy screams out of frustration*

anyway...... mite as well as run through my lect today.... chemmat... hm... looks hard, apparently lots of calculations... ALSO apparently for engine ppl, they had to do engsci111 BEFORE doing this paper, and since i'll be doing chemmat and engsci 111 at the same time... i have a feeling it's gonna be... 'fun'.... at least i know mnay ppl doign this paper, so i coudl always get help.. hehehe.

bio204 sounds interesting.... honestly.. i didnt' like the sound of microbiology, but it looks interesting.... the course coordinator is very hysterical... she laughs at herself every 5 secs.. lol... everyone looked at her funny, but u know~~ it's the best lecture i had today so hey~ maybe laughing at oneself is... er... not a bad strategy in teaching??

scigen was SO BORING it's not funny -____- this scottish guy started telling us how 'scientist' are precieve as obscure/dirty/weird ppl in society that is 'frightened' by ppl (BTW!!! what's with dirty?!?!?!?! ) and then he goes on about how differnt ppl perceive thigns differently for the whoel freaking 40 mins!!!! omg~~~ ok.. if the boredom continues, i rather do 7 papers next year and 6 this year jsut so that i'll get more intesreting papers!!!.

... still got a lot of 'catching' up to do.... so many ppl i haven' tseen today.. oh well~~ hehehe there's a whole sem to do catching up so it shud be ok ^______^ anyway... goign to burn some cd now.. hope everyone had better 1st day at uni than me...
