Work finished early at a record time of 4:50 ^______^ hehehe ok.. was streaking ALL DAY LONG! and since streakign dont' require much concentration.. i estimated that i streaked about 500 plates today :P ok... for 8 hours that i worked today the company pays me roughtly $93. LOL honeslty~~ the company pays me like 18.6c for each plate i streak :P kinda sad coz my i earn less than that due to tax...*shrug* oh well~~ :P scratched 2 agar plates today... think it's an improvemtne from last week.. oh yea~~ difference between uni and work. ^^
at uni:
me :"demonstrator, i stuffed up, can i have a new agar plate?"
demonstrator: "sure, use as many as u want. "
at work:
me: *ooops.. stuffed up again, "secretly" hide the damaged agar plate and use another one*
lol... those agar plates are expensive thigns! i think the oxford palam ones are like $1 each and the Aloe Palam ones are $2 each @____@ thinking about it, i worth less than those plates.. lol... at least i dont' get 'discarded' at the end :P
speaking of which.. for the WHOLE day i was looking forward to finished streakign each tray so i coudl go to the dumping room where it's nice and cold ^____^ and Malini ( my supervisor) just had to come and tell the clean-up boy to dump things for me... =S oh well~~ she was being nice i know.. but she stripped me of my happiest time at work :'( heheh ok.. i am weird i know :P
Btw... had to do the controls today... i dont' like doign it coz i'll be acutlaly be in contact with Listeria, i mean, of cousre with gloves and stuff the chacnes of me getting infected is minimal. But still.. ok.. for ppl who know how shocking my fingers looks like will know that i constantly have wounds on my fingers (coz i am mean to myself and dont' drink enough water =P ) so yea.. so today was like.. finished controls *wash hands* *get new gloves* tidy up my work bench and put the plates into the incubator *takes off my gloves * *wash hands* LOL by the end of the day my hands were so dried up and yuck it's not funny -___- so glad i bought the nice hand cream from the waiheke trip..
btw.. i feel like i am a really bad friend.. :s i can' believe it took me 5 days to remember my best friend's drivign test >< and asked her how did it go AFTER SHE'S DONE IT FOR 5 DAYS!!! i am bad aren't i... *guilt* *guilt* never mind.. next time i better write these thigsn down so i dont' forget
