Car Surgery
Few weeks ago, my car had its cam belt replaced, and after that my car became very temperamental. It didn’t respond to accelerator as well as it used to, and it vibrates quite vigorously. I was all upset about the car, dad was wanting me to get a new car instead of having a cam belt replaced, thinking that Cedia isn’t the safest car around. But I didn’t think I am at the stage where I am capable financially to buy a new car. So there I was thinking why didn’t I just listen to dad and get a new car.
So I went back to the shop that replaced my cam belt, they actually noticed there’s something wrong with my car, and insisted that I need to get my transmission flushed. Which wouldn’t make sense at all because my car was fine before the cam belt was replaced. So I questioned them if they accidently touch it while performing their ‘operation’ and he just brushed it off saying cam belt has nothing to do with transmission.
All the drama was escalated by my car having a ‘heart attack’ early one morning when I was about to go to work, the whole engine just died on me. @__@ Was freaking scary. So finally, we took the car to this other guy to see what was wrong… and I was telling him about the symptoms of the car, and he was brutally interrogating me because he reckons the problems I am having with the car has nothing to do with the replacement of the cam belt. After numerous confirmation from me that the car only started having trouble after the replacement of the cam belt, he reluctantly say he’ll mimic what they would’ve done while replacing the cam belt and see what happens. 2nd day I got my car back…. So apparently they didn’t install the cam belt properly. I am just glad my car is back to normal again J
My car passed its wof this Monday… I am so proud.
Anyway…. Got my company credit card today, feel very grown up.
And I will upload some grad photos when I get around to it… (whenever that is)
